The Youth Challenge Bettye Collier Women's Home
The Dr. Wilson Hawks family donated this beautiful four-story mansion. It is over 100 years old and is on the Virginia Registry of Historical Homes. The beautifully decorated rooms add to the cheerful atmosphere of the women's home. We can house up to fifteen (15) female students in this facility. The Womens home program requires a minimum 12 month stay at the 29th street facality until graduation . There are daily chapel services held at the women's home every morning , except for Wed, when all of the students attend open chapel together at the Hope Center. In addition to the educational needs of each student being met, volunteers teach special classes in practical skills such as computer classes. Special Bible studies are also offered as well as family development.
These students who live at the Women's home also participate in the Youth Challenge Choir and help to maintain the thrift store.
